Mixed-use buildings need clear rules so commercial tenants and shared areas keep bins clean and accessible.

Standard bin set

• Rear-lift 240L/360L on floors; 660L/1100L in main rooms.
• Streams: general, commingled, cardboard; organics only where food is prepared.
• Secure consoles for confidential paper if offices require it.

Rules to post

• Flatten cardboard; liquids out of commingled; no food in cardboard/commingled.
• Lids down; blocked access may trigger return fees.
• Repeat contamination: educate first, then agreed chargeback.

Lift tuning

• Review fullness monthly; target 60-80% at pickup.
• If bins stay under 60% for two weeks, drop a lift; if over 80%, add one before upsizing.
